The BMW Z4 M40i sold in America produces 382 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque from its 3.0-liter turbocharged engine. But this is not the case in Europe because Europe has shifted to new, more stringent emission testing procedures, with the adoption of stringent new WLTP standards, which forced BMW to reduce the power of the Z4 M40i to conform to the new standards and now produce 342 hp, 40 hp.

Because of this, European customers were not completely satisfied, however, there is the possibility of increasing the power of the car according to an unspecified confiscation confirmed that BMW will soon update the Z4 M40i to generate 382 hp.

Given that both sports cars share the bases, engine, and transmission, BMW was not fully satisfied and so decided to add the more powerful engine starting next December. The Z4 acceleration is set to drop from 4.6 seconds to 4.1 seconds. The German company did not officially confirm the news.
